Presenting the 2025 Finalists for the first annual LINELIGHT AWARDS™
Once more, congratulations to every semi-finalist who made it into Phase 2!
After tabulating the votes from Phase 2, the Finalists for each award are listed below.
 Congratulations to the Finalists – your hard work, dedication, and positive impact on the line dancing community are being recognized.**Important Note: if you are a Finalist in any of the People Category divisions, you are welcome to provide additional information about yourself relevant to the award(s) you are nominated for. This is completely optional, although highly recommended, especially for Trailblazer of the Year finalists. The judge panel will review your additional information as part of their judging process, but again, please ensure the additional information you provide is relevant to your award(s). Deadline to submit the form is July 1st, 2026, by 11:59 pm PST.
In Phase 3, the Finalists for each category will be reviewed by our qualified judging panel. The panel will use ranked choice voting to make their selections, and relative placement/other final scoring criteria will be used to determine the overall winner of each category. If a member of the Judge Panel has earned a Finalist placement, they will not be allowed to vote in that particular award.

This year The Barn-Anza (#16) is on Aug. 8th and from 10 to 4, then a dinner break and the line dance party starts at 7 p.m.
Lunch is included, along with raffles, step sheets that you can take pictures of, a chance to win an event pass, and lots of fun!! And you get free admission to The Barn for the evening with your paid registration and armband.
Our instructors will be John Robinson and Rob Holley - sure to be a fun combo and big hit, they will bring some fun new dances for us to work on. AND bring some extra $ because you know you will want something from John's 'Super J-Mart'.
Janis and I will have the registration forms at our classes, as well as online (as listed above) and hope you will come dance with us for a fun day.
The host hotel will be the Comfort Inn & Suites in Sanford. In order to take advantage of the hotel discounted rate, you must make your reservation before Friday, July 24th.

I wanted to invite you to participate. We will be spotlighting the instructors who enter while they are at the event like royalty. This is a competition for social dance instructors. Everyone is a winner and will receive a gold, silver or bronze medal rank by the judges. The World Dance Instructor Showcase 1st place winner will receive a title of World Dance Instructor for 2026, a teaching spot at the World Dance Showdown 2026, a cash award, prizes and recognition throughout the year.
