dsimport to modify usernames?

I'm looking to see if I can use dsimport to bulk rename user objects.
If my user CN=jsmith I would like to change it to cn=jsmith12. I need
to do this on about 800 user id's. Can this be done with dsimport.

Hi Greg,
you can use DSImport to create/delete/modify users, not to rename
them.
However, it would be pretty easy to create a batch job and use QUICK
to rename objects.
Something like
QUICK Rename [old name] [new name] [options]
