There are two different effects that I’ve noticed:
1) latency/delay in which there is a noticeable gap between when you make a sound and when you hear it. It is extremely difficult, verging on impossible, to talk when this happens because you’ll be halfway through the next word hearing the word you just said, which is very disorienting.
2) a weird sound quality doubling thing or echo - in which the audio is in sync but has an odd timbre/slight doubling as you said. This does not affect your ability to form sentences but your voice sounds odd. I noticed this when we first switched into studio C but it resolved itself, iirc. From what I remember, this isn’t noticeable over the air.
Important to check: are the monitors and headphones set to Program 1 or External 1? If set to External 1, some level of delay might be expected.
If it’s issue 1, that’s a big problem. If it’s problem 2, we can work through it and I can check wiring to see if I can find an issue. If it’s something else entirely, as long as it’s not problem 1, we’ll work through it.

I guess it sounds more like a doubling effect than an echo — just a bit out of sync (if that makes sense)?
