Thirteen years ago I had a vision.

That vision was to bring the Olympics to Milwaukee. The original plan
was for 2008, and when that fell through, 2012. After a long,
thankless battle of working behind the scenes, my struggle may finally
come to fruition.

Olympics. Milwaukee.* 2016.

You can't imagine how nervous I am as the voting begins. If this
falls through I might take a few years off before trying to get
another bid organized. At 32, I'm not getting any younger, and I've
only got 40 or 50 good years left. Also, Mom says I need to finish
college someday, or she's cutting me off.

* Due to several technical issues, the proposed Milwaukee 2016 games
will not be held in Milwaukee proper, but in a lesser-known suburb 90
miles down the Lake Michigan shore.

DAMET!!!!!!!1!

Maybe in a few years I'll start organizing Milwaukee 2024. Or 2028.
If we have kids, they'll be old enough to compete by then!

Teh dream will not die.

If you like, I could laugh out loud, dance around, and say "sorry to
hear that"
