Well, it's been nearly two years since I first proposed a Milwaukee
bid for the 2008 Summer Olympics. Very little progress has been made
in this area. It has now come to my attention that several US cities
have entered bids for the 2012 Olympics. The latest entry is
Baltimore-Washington. This cannot be allowed. If ANYone in the USA
is going to host the 2012 games, it will HAVE to be Milwaukee.

So, once again, I ask you, citizens of the net, who's with me?

MILWAUKEE 2012!!!!!!!!

Does that mean if it's hosted in Milwaukee they'll have to call it the
Green Bay Olympics?

Lotsa Luck with a city that can't even cough up $18 million for a new
stadium.

Our thought for the day, a lesson from history:

Adolf Hitler: Creature of Conservative Religious Politics.

Adolf Hitler never won majority control in an election. He was
the creature of Conservative politicians, who gave him the
assistance he needed to gain power. In particular, Conservative
Franz von Pappen of the Roman Catholic Center Party designed the
political deal which gave Hitler power.

Are you a political or religious Conservative?

Well, here's an idea: Washington and Baltimore are doing a joint bid.
If Milwuakee did a joint bid with, say, Port Washington, would that
help? Maybe West Allis. They have that Olympic training center right
there, as well as the State Fairgrounds, which can be used for an
Olympic venue or two.
