Hi,

I seem to recall that there is a rule that states that players need to reenter the field in the same location as they have left the field. However I cannot seem to find a rule about this. Did this rule ever exist, does it still exist?

The idea being that if no such rule exists a team playing against zone defense could in theory send one player into the end zone by walking behind the spectators.

regards,

Fairly sure that was never a rule.

Only similar rules that come to mind are about players who pick up the disc or receivers who catch the disc and run out of bounds - they have to come back and set their pivot at a specific point.

I don't believe it has ever existed. You could claim that it is against
the spirit of the game however.
