Updated tester invitation—all the current details in one place.

Orbit & Hour is a little solar system on your wrist: eight textured planets, a golden Sun, optional Milky Way, Classic/Close-up views, and a Daily dance mode that makes every planet move over a day. Always-on switches to a quiet Moon/Sun-over-Earth view. Battery is an optional complication. Wear OS 4+; no phone companion app, ads, accounts, analytics, or location permission.

The closed test is live. It normally costs US$0.99 (local prices vary), but the five single-use codes below give volunteer testers a free copy—no need to message me first.

HOW TO JOIN
1. Join this Google Group using the Google account on your watch:
https://groups.google.com/g/wearos-app-testing-community
2. Opt in to the closed test:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/dev.planatch.planetarium
3. On your Android phone, open Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Redeem code, using that same account. Redeem one code below.
4. Open the app listing and select your Wear OS watch to install:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.planatch.planetarium
Then add Orbit & Hour from your watch's face picker.

FIVE FREE CODES — FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED
1. FY1MMDRHPGQAM3KF4UT5VD2
2. 6TPDVEGJWM6CES8UASSC2E2
3. THJ1KJXZXJFAPJWXR89125F
4. DVV4LDWGTJ70N39XFSTRNGG
5. GNEDB3FGJ6MTVWSK6CP7VUR

Please use one code only, and reply with its number and your watch model once claimed so others know which remain. If these are taken, reply here—I have more codes available. No private Google-account email is needed in the thread.

I'm looking for people who can actually use the face and stay opted in for 14 continuous days. Feedback on readability, crown customization, always-on behavior, and everyday battery use would be especially helpful. No public rating, positive review, or reciprocal testing is required.

Interactive preview: https://orbit-and-hour.vercel.app
The website previews newer features too: the asteroid-belt update is in review, and additional clock fonts are coming in a later update. The attached screenshots show the currently available version.

Codes are active now and redeemable until October 31, 2026 at 23:00 UTC / 7 p.m. New York time, where the app is available. Each code is good for one free copy, has no cash value, and is not for resale.

Thanks for trying it!

Version 1.4.1 is now available to testers, with the optional asteroid belt and six clock styles, including Oxanium, Space Grotesk, and Rajdhani. I’ve attached fresh screenshots from the current build.

I’d really appreciate honest feedback—and sensible feature requests are welcome too. What’s hard to read? Does customization feel responsive? How does always-on work for you? What would make this more useful or enjoyable on your wrist?

If you can, use the face normally and stay opted in for 14 continuous days. No public rating, positive review, or reciprocal testing is required.

Thanks to everyone trying Orbit & Hour, and sorry for the confusing phone installation instructions.

Installation tip for Orbit & Hour testers: if the phone's Play Store says “Your device isn't compatible,” please try redeeming and installing through a computer browser. Orbit & Hour is a watch-only app, and the phone message may refer to the phone.

Use the same Google account for the community group, closed-test opt-in, redemption, and your watch:
1. Confirm your tester status: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/dev.planatch.planetarium
2. Redeem your code in a browser: https://play.google.com/redeem
3. Open the listing and choose your Wear OS watch as the installation device: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.planatch.planetarium

If a code says it is already redeemed, check whether the listing already offers installation on that account. Please don't claim another code or pay again just because the phone shows this compatibility message.

Google Play Console confirms all four Pixel Watch 5 models are supported. If your watch is missing from the device selector or the watch itself is marked incompatible, reply with the watch model, Wear OS version, and exact message. Honest feedback and sensible feature requests are always welcome.

I've updated the website's installation steps too: https://orbit-and-hour.vercel.app/#join-test

Thanks for helping make this better!

Hi!
I would like to test Orbit & Hour but Google Play won’t redeem the code and shows this error PRS-RPCPM-18.
Please make
Orbit & Hour free by test card for this group members. It will be easier for everyone.

Hi Facet Fate—thank you for flagging the error and suggesting license testing. This is my first time taking an app through Google Play to publication, and I really appreciate you and everyone here helping me learn the ropes. Sorry the codes have been such a hassle.

I've now enabled Google's license testing for the WearOS App Testing Community group. Please use the same Google account for this group, the closed-test opt-in, and your watch:

1. Confirm you're opted in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/dev.planatch.planetarium
2. Open the listing and select your Wear OS watch: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.planatch.planetarium
3. At checkout, choose “Test card, always approves” and confirm Google identifies it as a test purchase with no real charge. The listing may still show the regular price, but you don't need a promo code for the test-card route.

If it only offers a real payment method, please don't pay—allow some time for the change, reopen Play Store with the same account, and let me know what it shows. I haven't yet had confirmation that this works on a tester's watch, so I'd appreciate hearing whether you can install it.

Thanks again for your patience and help. Honest feedback and sensible feature requests are very welcome!
Dan

Hi Dan – I've opted in to your Orbit & Hour test and will install it on my Pixel Watch 2 and keep it for 14 days. Would you mind testing StrengthKey (watch-only gym set logger) in return? Details here: https://groups.google.com/g/wearos-app-testing-community/c/eU-yVjCCrkE. To reserve a spot, "Reply to author" with the Google account email your watch uses. Thanks!
