Hello Middlesex,
I wanted to make sure you all saw the information being put out there for the event coming up at Goulston & Storrs on Wednesday the 4th.
The Women's Bar Association invites you to join us for the 2025 Pioneering Women of Color Celebration! This year, we will be honoring two terrific women as the 2025 Pioneering Women of Color Honorees: Justice Tiffanie Ellis-Niles, Massachusetts Juvenile Court, and Professor Natasha Varyani, Roger Williams University School of Law.
Prior to her confirmation in January 2025, Justice Tiffanie Ellis-Niles was a founder and managing attorney at Lyles and Niles LLP, where she focused on bankruptcy, family law, probate, landlord/tenant disputes, and civil litigation. Beyond her previous practice, Justice Ellis-Niles continues to be dedicated to advancing equity and inclusion in the legal community, having served as President of the MBLA and the MBWA.
Professor Natasha Varyani is a distinguished legal scholar and educator at Roger Williams University School of Law and an Academic in Residence at Sullivan & Worcester. Her scholarly work focuses on the intersections of law and social justice, exemplified by her recent publication, "Owning Our Values: Understanding Systemic Racism Through the Lens of Property Law (And Skills to Do Something About It)."
Pioneering Women of Color will take place on Wednesday, June 4th at 5:30PM - 7:30PM, generously hosted by Goulston & Storrs; we invite you to register on our website HERE! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to Chloe Peters, WBA Membership Specialist, at cpe...@womensbar.org.
We hope that you will join us in celebrating Justice Ellis-Niles and Professor Varyani!
And the following Saturday, June 7, don’t forget about the Middlesex Cookout at my house in Pepperell! RSVP by sending me a direct email and, while it isn’t required, let me know if you would like to bring something with you.
Best,
Whitney
