Hi all - a friend had severe water damage in her 2-bedroom Charlestown condo (both water and steam - a contractor left a hot tap running and overflowing for 3 days).  Her insurance company and the contractor's insurance company are cooperating and agree that more restoration is needed (moisture meter readings, smells, buckled floors, etc).  However, Serv Pro is claiming they have completed restoration and have sent a bill that the insurance company considers excessive, about twice the expected cost of the work. My friend's insurance company has told her she may be better off if they send her a check and leaves her to fight with Serv Pro.  Also, my friend expects to present a claim for uninsured items to her contractor or his insurance company.  So she is looking for an attorney to help her negotiate with Serv Pro (or possibly the insurers) to finish the restoration work as well as to seek compensation from the contractor for uninsured losses.

Many thanks for any referrals.
