Hello,

for our vocabulary, we have a set of illustrations. We store them on a separate server. We model them as a "foaf:depiction" property on "skos:Concept". I hope that’s correct. Is there a way of displaying them?

For now, we’re using the actual image URI. Is there a need to add them as instances of "foaf:Image" or so?

Thanks,
Frederik

Hi Frederik,

go to User menu > Preferences. There is a checkbox "Display images". The tool-tip says: "If enabled, URL values resolvable to images on the web will be displayed as images (preview) in the ResourceView".

Hope this helps.

Kind regards
Roland

just checking so <http://xmlns.com/foaf/0.1/image> <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_Brazil.svg> against a resource should display an image in the resource view?

Try linking to a PNG file. I tried SVG, and it looks like SVG is not supported.

Thanks Derek for pointing it out and Roland for checking.

More extensions will be added in the next version (including SVG). I said extensions because, beside support for a format, we simply use the extension in order to decide which external links are images (this limits the network traffic that would be used for checking, e.g., the mime types, by only relying on local information)

Kind Regards,

Armando

Hello group!

I am looking at the rendering of images in VB 14.0.0 and SV 5.0.0.  I can see the PNG nicely rendered in VB, as expected, and was looking for a way to enable similar rendering in SV too, but apparently I cannot find it. Is it possible to visualize images in SV like in VB? Btw, SVG are not shown.

Many thanks
Caterina

Hello!

Btw. Apparently, SVG are still not rendered.

Many thanks!

Thanks Caterina!

Thanks for pointing this feature, it’s on the wishlist for future releases. Can’t confirm it will be the next one (it’s a very dense dev year) but, will do :-)

Cheers,

Armando
