Hello, again,

I also send this separate mail to present some other doubts.

  • How can I tell VocBench that a definition of a concept should be looked up in an external url?
    I have used skos:definition for introduce the definition of my lexicalentry, and then I have to create an instance or write a literal content. Is there any way to make an external url appear?

  • Is there also a way to add an image in notes (or other) and be able to see it in the lexicographer view?

Because when I go to the lexicographerview of any entry I can only see its translation (vartrans:translatableAs) but not other properties such as definition, lexinfo,...

I have selected everything, however, in the lexicographer view options.

Any help will be great!  Thanks a lot!

Hi Zaida,

you can easily add the URL of a page containing the definition by going on the Notes section and select the additional option (the triangle next to the yellow icon of the notes) labeled as “add value manually”. You will be then prompted with a textfield, where you can type the URL of the page.

Pls remember to put the URL within <> brackets. E.g. if the URL is:

http://example.org/definition

then you should type:

<http://example.org/definition>

Pls note that this will not be resolved, as VB can’t know what you are using that for. Anyway, in terms of representation, that’s a perfectly admittable pattern which is even defined in the SKOS primer: https://www.w3.org/TR/skos-primer/#secadvanceddocumentation

You can add images and they can be resolved and shown directly in the resource view. I’m sorry currently the lexicographer view doesn’t support thus feature. The lexicographer view was meant exactly as a simplified view limited to the main and convenient editing of ontolex content.

Kind regards,

Armando
