Got him back from the shop where I had his engine rebuilt. He really likes to take off. Is it possible something with the transmission would cause this runaway raceway behavior, perhaps low on fluid?

In gears 1-4, he accelerates pretty much, on his own. He doesn't rev up at idle, nor does he accelerate in reverse (thankfully) All that is old news, though so it matters not much anymore.
