Youtube video not detected

I've 8.0.0.0 and it is not detect any video on YT. It only find video. I'm using the latest version of Firefox. Windows 11, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon

I'm having the same issue. It doesn't seem to recognize that there is a video playing on the YouTube site at all. Firefox ESR, Download Helper 8.0.0, Ubuntu 22.04LTS

I see it detecting videos with version 8.0.0.0 , are you suggesting it doesn't change to the colors on the button.

I also had this issue. Then I tried opening the url of the video in a new tab. It worked!
Also other videos in that same tab could be downloaded. I use Firefox and Windows 10.

Peter, I just tried that and you're right... opening the video in ANOTHER tab allows VDH to see the video. Very strange behavior... it can't see it in the original tab but it can in the new one? Thanks for the tip.

mjs: Yes, the icon does not change color and when I click on it it says: "No media to process in the current tab" despite there being a video playing at the time.
