Dear Wg Cdr Mahabir Saunriyal, A very good and apt reply by you. unfortunately one tends to forget about self while commenting on others. I feel A General will remain General retired or serving nothing wrong in giving his due to him similarly, a Subedar Major though retired will always get his due. The ranks in forces are earned not granted and must be respected retired or serving. Can I ever claim the in date of commission I was senior to even the last Chief of Army Staff . This has to be understood by all of us and respect the rank held by the person, Regards Madan M Sharma

    Dear Ex Sgt Achuthan,
I must advise that you should not fall pray to policies of
BABUDOM who always want us fauzi-veterans to
be divided into class, ranks, grades and trades so that our united voice
for justice become fragmented . This boggy which you propound on veteran-
plate-form is destructive to our cause. I shall give you a few brief
    points:-
    1. I found to my surprise that ECHS over the time has greatly improved. I
went to Medanta Medicity in Gurgaon, Artemis in
Gurgaon, Private Clinics around Delhi NCR only to feel cheated.
    2. The medicines issued by ECHS are original and cost effective. What you
get outside in market is not reliable most of the times.
    3. As a Sergeant, on promotion, you joined SNCO's Mess in IAF by leaving
Airmen's Mess. You served, qualified, passed
promotion examinations to achieve that. You left Billet life of community
living as an Airman(Air warrior) to have your personal accommodation of
single living. IN EFFECT YOU EARNED IT TO DESERVE IT.
    4. Can one imagine that a Secretary and LDC are alike in CGHS.
    5. Our seniors are always helpful to juniors even when retired. Our respect
to our seniors is part of our military ethos and Indian tradition as well.

Please desist from propounding divisive tendencies.

    warm regards

    yours

I don't think such practices are adopted at ECHS Pune.I am nearing Eighty I still take my token No standing in line but do sometimes meet the Dr out of turn as that is the privilege given to me.
In case of Canteen if one knows the Rule it is prudent to observe it by not bringing small children with you.You are aware of the inconveniences caused to others on this ground. Best way is to ignore the  complaints and carry on as  such pers are used to making such complaints. I had the privilege of serving with some units where these men expected the officers to serve them at the Badakhana.
