The mating surfaces changed with the body changes.   Interestingly, the rear fenders do interchange across all years. Notchback rear fenders are unique to notchbacks, but interchangeable across all years of notchback. Door Check Straps

I see that ISP shows no stock and wanted $70 for one when they had them.   Has anyone come up with a good solution? So, a '69 with a '68 fender. There are probably a lot of guys out there who would love to swap RF fenders with you.

That said, it's not as easy here as I'm used to. And I wonder how my message about door check straps got caught up in this conversation. I thought I'd created a totally fresh email, but I must not have cleared all the metadata. This is harder than I thought, and more technical than most people will be able to do.
