Hi Everyone,
Using TortoiseSVN 1.9.2 on Company Device so upgrade isn't possible.

After successfully checking out when I right click on the folder, I only see the checkout option.

I have checked and there is a hidden .svn folder in the checkout directory. Right clicking and selecting properties on the checkout directory does not provide a subversion tab. There is also a green check from Tortoise on the Checkout Folder.

Other users have been able to check out this repository without issue.

Any suggestions?

Do you have any other repos checked out?  To they behave the same way?

Hi,

I don't have any other repos on the network I can checkout, but when I make a repo on my desktop and check that out to a new folder also on my desktop I do get the update and commit options. I also don't see any errors after the checkout; however, I was getting the error "REPORT request on 'svn/R0033722001/!svn/me' failed" but I believe that was due to a network issue as when I do a fresh checkout on a wired network I no longer get that error and everything checks out.

Other users are also able to check out this repo with no issues.

Thanks

Can you do a fresh checkout of the repo? Maybe something is just wrong with the existing working copy?

Kind regards

PS. Being in a corporate environment it would probably be a good idea to update to the latest version to avoid known security issues!

I have tried a fresh checkout and even reinstalled it and tried again with no luck.
Is there any files that get left behind on an uninstall that maybe would have gotten corrupted at some point?

Unfortunately, upgrading is out of my control at this time otherwise I would.

Where exactly is your working copy stored? If it's on a network share then go to
Settings dialog->Icon Overlays->Drive Types.
check all that apply to you.

But the better solution would be to store the working copy on the local drive.

The working copy is being checked out to a folder on my desktop which is synced with OneDrive.

I suspect there is a "not" missing in the sentence above. At least the following post describes a similar problem with OneDrive at one point in time:

Stefan mention this being fixed in a later version of APR but I'm not sure if it was in the 1.7 branch (which TSVN didn't use at that time but has since switched to) or if it is in APR 2 (which is not released yet). (I tried searching the various Apache systems but couldn't find anything).

Kind regards,
Daniel

Joseph, are you implying that the folder is under your one drive?  I got burned by some Windows update that re-arranged the default folders.  Tortoise does not play well with network drives plus tossing in MS' nonsense...

Try and check the project out to a local folder on your local harddrive.  See what happens then.

Hi All,

Sorry for the delay in update, I was away from work.

Doing the checkout in a folder on the C drive as opposed to the Desktop that was being synced with OneDrive fixed the issue. Oddly enough creating a shortcut to the new checkout folder on the desktop still gave me the options for commit and update.

Thanks for all your help with this.

happy to hear this.  One caution, beware shortcuts and anything else nifty with TSVN or SVN.
