In the latest version of TNT (august 2010), it is possible to save
trees as svg, the results are esthetically pleasing -- at least for me
;) -- and can be easily edited with commercial (e.g. illustrator) or
free (e.g. inkscape) vectorial editors... Or if you like the code, in
a plain text editor!
The key command is ttag... if you want to save the strict consensus
(for example) use something like this:
ttag = ;
nel ; /* Here you can set the result of
resampling, or bremer support, etc */
ttag &cons.svg ;
If you want to save the tree 6 for example
ttag *6 :
ttag &tree6.svg ;
Check out the help for ttag :)
Hope you find this info useful!

Salvador

Dear Mike, the steps I use are described below (certainly exist a lot of other elegant ways to do this, but I know just these):
With your analyses done, go to the tab TREES>MULTIPLE TAGS>STORE TREE TAGS>FILE>TREE SAVE FILES>OPEN, PARENTHETICAL.
at this moment the program will open a window suggesting you to choose a directory to save your archive (and it’s name).
Now, go to FILE>TREE SAVE FILE>CLOSE TREE FILE.
I use to close my TNT window, just to superstition…
Now open the same matrix you used to run your analysis on TNT with the program winclada (http://www.cladistics.com/about_winc.htm), now goes to FILE>OPEN TREE FILE, and inform the program where is your tree file and open it.
If everything ran ok until now, you can simply open the tab FILE and CREATE A COREL METAFILE, and voilá!, choose a name to your file and now you are able to open it on the Coreldraw (I never tried other one…) and edit as you want.
Well, I wait you can solve your issues now!
With best regards
David
Ps* sorry for the english errors

You can export your data (including trees) to Nexus format in TNT, that
can be read by Figtree.
Command:
export*;
I'm not sure about branch length tags. I think you can't export the tree
with the tags to Nexus.
The best option looks SVG format, as Salvador said.
Cheers,
Camilo
