Tithing can be done even now,but it much be free will.
Abraham and Jacob tithed before even the law was there.
The mosaic law tithing is the one that we should never do as it is the one that was abolished by Gal 5:4.
Free will tithing, which may not necessarily be per month or per any stipulated period is not bad(Abraham &Jjacob tithing).
God wants a cheerful giver
Thanks.

We are on tithing stewardship since 2010. Have we not come to a conclusion? Tithing is not for the new testament church. Are we sure about this or are we going in circles?Sent on my BlackBerry® from Vodafone

This group is not about the catholic church, mary, or the popeThis is only about Stewardship, Finances, tithing, giving, etc. Next time i see an outburst like this, i will be banning all those involved

Amen.
Can someone explain to me this scripture and relate it to the nowadays proponents of tithing-Det14:22-26 or rather has there ever been a pastor instructing you to eat your tithe with your family?
14:22 You must be certain to tithe28 all the produce of your seed that comes from the field year after year. 14:23 In the presence of the Lord your God you must eat from the tithe of your grain, your new wine,29 your olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the place he chooses to locate his name, so that you may learn to revere the Lord your God always. 14:24 When he30 blesses you, if the31 place where he chooses to locate his name is distant, 14:25 you may convert the tithe into money, secure the money,32 and travel to the place the Lord your God chooses for himself. 14:26 Then you may spend the money however you wish for cattle, sheep, wine, beer, or whatever you desire. You and your household may eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and enjoy it.

I agree...much appreciated ,however it does not seem biblical to attribute tithing of Abram and Jacob as “free-will”. First Abram’s tithing, the bible is not elaborative on this-though some researchers attribute Abram’s tithing to the common Law of the land(Kings during his era)....And Jacob’s tithing-Please note that when he left Laban he was rich, when he met his brother he was rich, but it is not mentioned that he indeed gave tithes...His tithes were more like a vow not a freewill....
But anyhow I agree with the rest of your response
Thanks
Yeh!!!!Amen....I wish other pastors can comprehend what we understand, wish we could have a platform where these bible truths can be debated/discussed(more like when Paul preached to Bereans who examined what he taught to see if its scriptural )-not in a manner to look down on others but with brotherly love, make them understand that through the blood of Christ we have attained “Eternal Life”
The other one I like its when people were placing their offerings before the feet of the apostles,Acts4:( For there was no one needy86 among them, because those who were owners of land or houses were selling87 them88 and bringing the proceeds from the sales 4:35 and placing them at the apostles’ feet. The proceeds89 were distributed to each, as anyone had need.)
Talking about equality in the church....(not an individual getting more rich and others getting more poorer)
God bless you
