The blessed time of Tahajjud
On August 24th 2025, we asked a question (https://groups.google.com/g/tibb-e-nabwi/c/VRKmHnkp998) :
While monitoring glucose trends from after dinner until breakfast, I noticed that blood sugar reaches its lowest level between 3:00 am to 4:30 am, but then begins to rise again for a few hours, even without eating any food.
Can you understand; why the blood sugar is lowest during this specific time frame?
It is called the Dawn Phenomena, also related to Cortisol.
But my feelings are a little different.
The precious hours between 3:00 am and 5:00 am is the blessed
time of Tahajjud prayer. It is a time when the mercy of Allah descends
upon the earth, a time of peace, light, and healing. From what I have
understood, during these moments, every human being, whether Muslim or
non-Muslim, receives a share of Shifa and healing. This is a time of Noor, a
divine medicine that touches all hearts.
But there is a difference. If a Muslim rises from
sleep, performs Wudhu, stands in Nafal Salah, and calls upon Allah with
sincerity and tears in the eyes, then his / her healing and closeness to Allah
increases manifold. And even if a non-Muslim wakes up at this time and
sincerely calls upon his Creator, he too will find relief, comfort, and cure.
So let us value these moments. Wake up for even a short while, raise your hands in Dua & cry with tears, feel the mercy of Allah surrounding you. Truly, the time of Tahajjud is a time of Noor, Shifa, healing, and acceptance of prayers. Especially for the sick & patients, these valuable moments are the best for seeking Shifa from the skies.
