World Hash Events: January 2025

Greetings Hashers,

As mentioned last month, with the passing of Bill “HANOI BILL” Newling,
after a long and wonderful life, at the age of 95 (born on 4 May 1929), a
new Oldest ACTIVE hasher has been identified.

Honors now goes to Chesney ‘EL PICADOR’ Allen as the world’s oldest ACTIVE
hasher. He was born on 30 May 1932, and that makes him 92 ½ years old. He
hashes every week with the Wessex H3 and stays with the main pack by walking
fast, and using sticks. Blessings to El Picador for many more years of
hashing fun.

The world’s oldest ACTIVE harriette continues to be Rajendar ‘GLAMOUR’ Kaur
who was born on 9 May 1933, she is now 91 and hashing with the Brunei Hens.

I was contacted by members of the Addis Sunday H3, informing that some
rumors have been established that the Ethiopia Nash Hash is unofficial . . .
and they wanted the world to know that the Ethiopia Nash Hash is legit, and
will take place 14-16 March 2025 in Addis Ababa. You can register at

8th Annual Surabaya Hash Reunion . . . taking place in Cyprus next year.
It’s open to anyone who has ever hashed with Surabaya H3. The reunion takes
place every 3 years but this reunion is particularly important as it’s not
only the 8th reunion but we’re also be celebrating the 50th anniversary of
Surabaya H3. It’s taking place 8-12 September 2025 in Cyprus & even if
someone only hashed with them once they’ll be more than welcome. The contact
