人民對華文沒興趣 李光耀：星推行雙語錯了

新加坡內閣資政李光耀昨晚坦承，自己早年推行雙語的方法是錯誤的，它導致幾代人對華文失去興趣。
李光耀在新加坡華文教學研究中心主持開幕時說，早年政府推行雙語政策時，以為所有的學生透過死記硬背就能同時學好兩種語文的教學方法，是走錯
了方向，他將在有生之年，把過去的錯誤完全糾正過來。
李光耀強調，新加坡教育部必須利用能引起學生興趣的方式，去扭轉華文的教學情況。
新加坡媒體今天引述李光耀昨晚的談話報導，新加坡當前面對的挑戰就是，如何引導家庭中使用英語的孩童，能對華文學習產生好感，進而樂意去學華
文。可行的方法就是要引起他們對華文的興趣。
李光耀說，教育工作者應該讓孩童多聽和多講華語，教師應在課程中融入戲劇和資訊科技，來激發學生對學習華文的興趣。
他說，早期推行雙語政策的方法是錯的，導致幾代人對華文失去興趣。教師堅持要孩子聽寫和默寫華文是瘋狂的，華校的教師不用英語來教講英語家庭
學生學華語，讓這些學生對華文失去興趣。
李光耀也鼓勵家長在家中和孩子說華語，讓孩子不排斥華文。
李光耀也談起當年放棄方言的原因，他說他看到電視記者訪問年輕的勞工和學生，結果他們用不流利的華語回答，因此他決心放棄方言，要求媒體不准
使用方言，由於他大刀闊斧這麼做，讓現在年輕人都講華語。
讀英文學校出身的李光耀，在掌權上台後制定以英語為主要工作語言的政策，一些當年讀華校出身的人遭到排擠，不容易找到好工作。在獨尊英語下，
導致新加坡的華文人才出現斷層。
一直到中國大陸經濟崛起，李光耀才改推雙語政策，希望讓新加坡華人能夠說華語，但已讓習慣講英語的華人以為華文難學而興趣不高。
新加坡是一個有多民族、多元文化、多种語言、多種信仰的國家，也是世界使用雙語進行教育、教學及交流的國家之一。1987年，新加坡政府做出
