Hello Experts!
Looking at diagnoses after baseline, I see NL, NL to MCI, MCI to Dementia, etc. Quick couple questions on these:
1. What does 'NL' stand for?
2. Is 'dementia' AD specific?
Thanks for any and all help!
Best,
Andrew Cirincione

NL == Normal "Dementia" is likely to be AD (because ADNI presumably recruited specifically for AD risk). But it's not guaranteed.
FYI, dementia is a syndrome (symptoms) — no-one knows for sure if the underlying cause is Alzheimer's disease without accompanying biomarker/post mortem evidence.
By the way, TADPOLE is a snapshot of ADNI data. General questions about ADNI data can be directed to the ADNI Data Google Group.
