Hi all,
First of all, congratulations on your recent very exciting news! :D If there's anything Oxhack can do to help, just shout.
Secondly:
This Friday, April 8th, Oxford Hackspace is holding its first LAN and consoles gaming party to celebrate two birthdays, including its own.
There will be cake and refreshments and party food, and if you're reading this, you're invited. Please bring party food. ;)
We're running a survey here to see what people want to play, so we can figure out what games and platforms to support, and people's favorite ice creams. Please RSVP on that survey if you can come, and let us know what you want to play, and what, if anything, you might be able to bring to help the effort hardware- or software-wise. Here's our mailing list thread on it to give you ideas. We hope to make this a reoccuring thing in the future, now that we are settling into our new bigger space!
We will be attempting to make this awesome, and will be inviting several nearby hackspaces, but it is also the first time we've run one of these, so should be interesting. All help, enthusiasm, and especially costumes welcome!
