Error in SUFI2_post.bat

Hi everyone 
When I run SWAT-CUP
It shows me this error massage:

Could Not Find *Sufi2.SwatCup\SUFI2.OUT\beh_*.*
NS=-26.026016
!ERROR simulation number 2 in variable file 1 is missing or has a problem.

How can fix it?

Probably the timing or the number of observed data points are not correct. Send extract definition files and the extract bat file to have a look...

I thank you very much for your endless support! I have solved the problems running the SUFI2_post.bat with your great help but when I run 16 parameters with 100 simulations I got R2=0.13 and NSE= -0.03. I need your valuable suggestion

Dear Gebremedhin,

NSE values less than 0.5 are not satisfactory at a monthly timestep (see Moriasi et al. 2007 for further information). 

Your min and max calibration parameter ranges need to be physically realistic for your watershed. 

I suggest studying the SWAT theoretical documentation. Get to know the equations of interest well. What are the calibration parameters? And, how does a small change in the calibration parameters effect model output?

Experiment with manually changing the calibration parameters in SWAT to find physically realistic min and max bounds for your watershed. Then, once you are very familiar with the model, let SWATcup auto calibration fine tune the sensitivity analysis/calibration/validation processes efficiently.

Dear Gebremedhin,

Ultimately, you only want physically realistic numbers for your watershed.

I try not to change CN more than +\- 3 from the original values (+\- 5 at the most).

The Alpha_BF (baseflow recession coefficient) can be approximated manually using the formula for Alpha_BF in the theoretical documentation if you have a period of 10 or 15 consecutive days of observed streamflow without surface runoff inputs. Then, you can set a min/max boundary around your manually calculated estimation.

ESCO value of 1.0 is unrealistic. And, your SURLAG range it too vast.

Please look up the definition for each calibration parameter you plan to use for your calibration in the theoretical documentation to to improve understanding of the parameters enough to set realistic bounds.

Something else to simplify calibration, you may be able to calibrate using only 6-8 of the most sensitive parameters.

Dear You can properly check your input files (flow data). most of the time this type of error occur due to problem in input data. other wise you can send me output folder of SWAT-Cup  i will check for you.

The zeros tell me there is something wrong with your observation file. Echo files echo what they read.
