Mailing List Tips #2 - Addressing & #1 Name Changes

If you wish  to send something to the whole group, the address is swarm-...@googlegroups.com. If you want to send something only to one member, you can find each member's address at https://groups.google.com/g/swarm-authors/members. That leads me to repeat tip #1 how to get your name changed from your address to whatever you want. See below:

QM and I are finding the Google Groups to be somewhat funky to manage. Here is a tip in answer to the first answerable question received:

Google added you to the list using your email address as your name. If you want to use your pen name (or real name) go to the groups page (https://groups.google.com/g/swarm-authors). Sorry, I can't make the change for you...

Scroll to "people"

Scroll to "members"

check the box next to your name/email

Scroll down to "my membership settings"

uncheck "link to my google account"

Change enter your desired name in the box above

re-check "link to my google account"

Scroll down and  "save changes"
