It certainly has some clever hacks in it. It will be interesting to see if some of the ideas in this printer can be reused in other types of printers (or if this one can be improved without substantially affecting cost).

    Well... it's cheap!

Thanks for pointing it out. There are several ideas in there that I like a
lot, so I'll keep an eye on this project.

    A few concerns:
    1. This printer is going to be extremely sensitive to vibration. Any
jostling of the tank will distort the print. (Maybe floating a sponge in
the water before you add resin on top would damp some ripples.)
    2. It doesn't look like they can turn the laser off during the print - note
the string up the center of the cube. How would you print islands of
    material without stringing?
    3. Computer generated audio (especially from a laptop) is quite noisy. I
don't know if that causes the bumps in the demo pictures or ...
    4. That's no galvo! I think the inertia of the mirrors might cause
    rippling in the prints.
    5. No hard facts until they are 'done with R&D'. Why are you kickstarting
if you aren't finished designing? Maybe that's just me...

But in the end, the price is right! This printer would be a great starting
point for someone investigating resin printers. I'm thinking of supporting
it just to play around. I can already think of several improvements...
