Hi Smuggers. My iPad Pro is starting to struggle. It is more than 4 years old. It is such an essential part of my life that I am thinking inshould replace it with a more up to date model. Can you advise me which model to replace it with? Looking at site, the options are iPad Pro 2021 or iPad Air 2022. Advice would be much appreciated. Virginia

Hi Virginia,

Mine is a 2018 11” model and I’m surprised about how it still seems the same as it used to be for most tasks. It’s a little slower to wake than it used to be from time to time but otherwise still seems lovely and quick to me. You’ve not filled the storage have you?

Thanks for suggestion, Stephen. How do I find out whether I have filled up storage? Virginia

Hello Virginia,

Settings > General > iPad Storage

If you are down to a few GBs then try and clear stuff out (always a good idea anyway as spring clean). There are tips on the page and I expect in Apple’s support pages too.

Brilliant, Stephen. That probably is the reason. I’ve used 57.3 of 64. I’ll do a spring clean as you suggest.
