I just noticed that SampleApp was removed. Thought viewer should be the successor. But my skp file was displayed correctly by SampleApp is not opened by viewer. Error is like "X Error of failed request:  BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)
Major opcode of failed request:  149 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request:  34 ()
Serial number of failed request:  22
Current serial number in output stream:  21
"

I also tried to use "https://debugger.skia.org/", but after I pressed upload button, the page showed error like "debugger.skia.org is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 502"

Is there another way I can just view my SKPs? Thanks

1. Run debugger locally.

2. Use dm to convert to png:
dm --src skp --skps FILE.skp -w DIRECTORY --config 8888 gpu --verbose

Viewer should be the successor -- it uses the same SKP loading code. Is it possible to send us the SKP so we can try to figure out what's going on?

Yes, it may be the SKP (in which case, we can investigate). I also had a similar issue to what you're describing with viewer on Linux, shortly after upgrading to Rodete. I tried to track it down, then rebooted and it started working. Does viewer give you the same error if you just launch it without any arguments (so not trying to load that SKP)?

Ah, it appears to be an error in Xlib/GLX: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2169099. If rebooting doesn't work I can take a look and see what's different between SampleApp and Viewer.

Thank you all for the help. Reboot indeed does the trick. It works now!

Great! I suspect the issue was that we use XCB in combination with Xlib to work around Vulkan bugs on some GPUs. That change was made a while ago and I suspect those have been fixed by now, so we could probably switch back to pure Xlib if needed.

If there are any features in SampleApp that you miss in Viewer, please let us know and we'll see about adding them in.

That sounds reasonable. In fact, I still see the same error through Chrome remote desktop access (not directly on Linux though). Is there a way I/you can test out whether that would fix the remote access issue? I am happy to try it out if you have a patch or new binary.

thanks!

I'm out of the office right now, but I can take a look Monday.
