Ensign Finsen - The sim where Ensign Finsen wants to meet Kivik's new music playing friend and go aboard Amity and trains are so exciting!

Finsen: Oh, don’t let Pek’al frighten you, she is the nicest security officer, I mean I thought she might be purposefully intimidating to help with my surprise, ::to Pek’al:: did you scare nem?  I hope you did!  I mean, not too much, ::smiling:: but you know, I wanted it to be a *really* good prank.  Oh, ::To Pek’al, hand on chest:: thank you sooo much for this!

Pek’al: The trap was set, the prey was lured.  Qapla!  ::To Kivik:: Welcome aboard the Kitty Hawk, I apologize for pretending to question your honour.  You are of course a welcome guest to our starship.

Kivik: Well… That’s a relief…

Finsen: Will I see you at belly dancing practice in the holodeck on Friday as usual, Pek’al?

Grurg: Of course!  In our three month journey, my pelvic floor has become as strong as a bat’leth.  ::Polite nod:: I will leave you both to reminisce. 

With that, the security officer gave one more raucous, proud laugh as she and the other two security officers left the room.

Kivik: My goodness, Finsen, you sure know how to make an entrance! ::Pause for a breath:: So, you were assigned to the Kitty Hawk – I have to say I rather envy you.

Finsen: Oh, really?  Oh, but Kivik, I’ve been reading up on Amity, and everything I’ve read says that Amity is like a small fancy city floating in space, I mean, don’t get me wrong, this Galaxy class ship is like a city itself compared to the Veritas, but Kivik!  You have a train!  I want to go on the train!  Aren’t you happy to have a train?

Kivik: Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to be aboard Amity – but you’re going to have the chance to actively explore the Delta Quadrant. What could be more exciting?

Finsen: The train!  But oh, ::smiling, friendly tap of Kivik’s arm:: I’m sure you’ll get more opportunities to explore the quadrant too, I mean you’re not just stationed on an Outpost, you’re setting up out here.  ::Arms out wide:: Faaaaaaaar from home!  Oh it’s so exciting, isn’t the Delta Quadrant exciting?  I find it exciting, I just can’t wait to get out deeper into it.

Kivik: Is anyone else from the Veritas aboard the Kitty Hawk? I’ve actually been a little too intimated to speak to Captain Rahman, to be honest…

Finsen: You should talk to the Captain!  I mean, ::back of hand to mouth as if she’s telling a secret:: she scares me a little if I’m honest, ::chuckles:: but you had a relationship with her!  She’d be happy to see you, I’m sure, anyway ::slightly serious tone:: how’s your cello?

Kivik: Actually, I’ve been getting pretty goo– well, pretty okay with the cello you gave me. You should meet my friend, Bec. Uh, Ensign Rebecca Iko, that is. She has a viola. It’s kind of like a small cello that you tuck under your chin. ::Shrugging:: I don’t know, that’s not a very good description.

A smiling Finsen jumped up and down on the spot, while excitedly clapping her hands.

Finsen: I’d love to!  Is that an invitation?  Oh I hope it’s an invitation!  ::Hand on chest:: Kivik, I hope I’m not being too forward, but I’d love to meet your friend, Rebecca was it?  You know, when I gave you that cello, I said to myself, “I bet ne can play it”, and I was right.  I was right!  That’s amazing.  Shall we go aboard Amity? I heard your crew have *apartments*!  ::Hand on chest, gasp:: I mean, I like my quarters don’t get me wrong, but instead of the Kitty Hawk I almost got assigned to a California class, they have to sleep on bunks in corridors, I mean where would I have put my ::gesturing to tuba:: tuba?

Kivik: Response

Finsen: Well, my roommate Ensign T’Rohn is on a meditation retreat with her fellow Vulcans in the holodeck, I don’t have many assignments, we’re on shore leave - ::shrug, smiling:: what do you say?  We can do whatever you want.  I want to see your home, Kivik, show me Amity.  Oh, by the way, ::leaning forward slightly:: Congratulations on your promotion, “Lieutenant”, it’s thoroughly deserved!

Finsen: Yes!  And let’s not take the transporters, let’s use the best transporter system there is, our feet.  ::chuckles::  I’ve always wanted to walk off a starship through a terminal, we use transporters so much it’d be nice to do it the old fashioned way, you know me I love the classics sometimes ::big Denobulan smile::

((Mezzanine, Ground Floor))

Finsen almost spun around in circles like she was on a grassy green mountain in Austria about to break out into song.  Except that she was looking up, marvelling at the view of the purple nebula out of the glass roof of the mezzanine.

Finsen: And you get to look at this every day?!  Oh, Kivik, I had no idea- ::looks at balcony level:: and so many shops!  And such a warm atmosphere.  ::Looking at Kivik:: Have you met Ambassador Vataix?

Kivik: Response

Finsen: ::Small excited shriek:: That’s so exciting, I’m so jealous!  I have to confess Kivik I do indulge in a little Betazoid noble watching from time to time, and Rivi Vataix is one of my favourites, she’s just sooo lovely, and sooo beautiful, and oh my imagine the life of a noble, Kivik.  If I bumped into her, I’d just - ::blush, chuckling:: I don’t know what I’d do!  Anyway, what should we do now?
