Bec was looking over the PADD that held the latest information Security had gathered from when the Lor'Vela biome had been mysteriously griefed last shoreleave. It turned out some of the sensors had in fact been tampered with, explaining the lack of civilian signals they'd found. Engineering had been able to restore some of the information that had been missing, but the accuracy of the sensor ghosts that were chased to do so was debatable. Right now the security officer was just trying to wrap her head around how exactly the stunt of hiding civilians had been pulled off. The information was there, but the concepts were proving difficult for the non-engineer Bec to understand. It was getting to the point where she'd need to take a break and return to her task in a couple of minutes.
Reade: =/\= Hey Bec! Mind coming down to the engineering lab? I have something I want to run by you, please. =/\=
And that was going to be as good an excuse as any. She got up, nodded goodbye to a couple of co-workers and began walking down to engineering as she replied to Scotty's request.
Iko: =/\= Sure thing, on me way. =/\=

Engineering was one of those places you visited enough to know where who you were looking for would be, but not quite enough to really trust yourself not to break everything as you walked through to where you had to go. So, after being sure she avoided running into anyone or anything Bec came up to the workshop and rang on the door. It opened, and she stepped in, slightly chuckling and shaking her head when she saw Scotty with an iced coffee.
Reade: Thanks for coming down so quickly, I need your help with something.
Iko: What mischief have you found now?
He paused for a moment, thinking. Bec looked on, her curiosity increasing.
Reade: Do you remember any other incidents in the Grand Mezzanine on these dates? :: passing her the padd:: This is the 20th repair request from that area, and I wanted to make sure there were no vandalism reports or something along those lines.
Bec took the PADD, skimming over the dates in question, dates that were suspiciously close to one another. But why do such an act multiple times in the same spot? And why there, specifically? It was definitely something she was going to look into.
Iko: The twentieth?
Reade: I am sure of it. What do you need from me?
Iko: For now, I just need your help finding out what happened.
Reade: response
Bec continued looking at what was on the PADD, calmly pacing around the room as she asked Scotty, and herself, a couple of questions.
Iko: All of these reports are coming from the same place?
Reade: response
Iko: From… ::studying PADD info:: Behind the Ice Cream shop?
Bec paused her slow walk around the room and let her arms fall to her side while she shook her head.
Iko: Why is that the sketchy place?
Reade: response
She rolled her eyes at the situation again before turning to another detail that her mind had flagged.
Iko: And what were the repairs all for?
Reade: response
Iko: That's not coincidence.
Reade: response
Bec tapped the edge of the pad as she continued pacing and thinking.
Iko: Come up to my desk. Let's see who was there. And when.
Reade: response
