((Security Office, Amity Outpost))
Iovianus: This is interesting… and troubling. They only signals have been a trio of combadges at different times. No one is at that exact spot but all three were close enough to have tapped the system remotely. There are no civilian signals in the biome at all.
Bec spoke in a tone not to dissimilar to the one she used for sarcasm, except this time the facts she stated were correct.
Iko: So… that narrows it down…
Richards: Essentially, it narrows it down from anyone on the station, to just three Starfleet Personnel.
Reade: That is a lot of people to narrow down.
Iovianus: Response
Iko: First off, we need to give this thing a proper when. Has anyone been in peace park recently when the snow was still working?
Reade: ::nodding:: I have not been to Peace Park in awhile.
Iovianus: Response
Richards: ::Shrugging:: I haven’t been in Peace Park since the BBQ with the Hirogen.
Iko: And I just had a quick stroll at the very start of shore leave - everything was working.
Reade: I am also lost here.
Hopefully Iovianus could explain it.
Iovianus: Response
She looked towards her boss.
Iko: Iov, does that narrow down our three?
Iovianus: Response
Reade: I gues so. That does make some sense.
Richards: I feel like we could narrow down our three pretty quickly…
Iko: Now, before we go through the whole starfleet continent for this, I’m concerned about this whole no-civilian thing…
Richards: I think I know how we can narrow down our little mystery even further.
Bec furrowed her eyebrows and looked to Richie, who was jumping ahead before she could elaborate. Bec said nothing though, and let the conversation continue. She could explain stuff later.
Iovianus: Response
Reade: I am all ears Nathan. What are you thinking?
Richards: Each Combadge is assigned to an officer or crewman. Their badge has their ID on it. We narrow down a timeframe and see which one of them was there within that timeframe.
Iko: It seems too easy…
Iovianus: Response
Reade: That is actually a good idea. That might give us a timeframe to look into.
Richards: We just ask them if they saw anything out of the ordinary. I don’t think someone from Starfleet would be involved in something like this, but ::Shrugging:: We do our due diligence.
Iko: What if they're not though?
Iovianus: Response
Reade: Yes of course. Let me get the schedule from a Ops officer and we can narrow it down.
Richards/Iovianus: Response
Iko: So we're thinking it's a starfleet guy?
Reade: Yes, that is what I am thinking.
Richards/Iovianus: Response
Iko: It may not be.
Richards/Iovianus/Reade: Response
Iko: Okay, hear me out here: Apparently there weren't any civilian signals found in Lor'Vana, which is unusual. Granted, it's not the most popular Peace Park biome to go to, but it's still very unusual. Our friend – or friends – might have gone and disabled whatever it is that tells us there are civilians in there so they weren't picked up.
Richards/Iovianus/Reade: Response
She shrugged and held her hands out.
Iko: I'm just speculating – it could very well be a Starfleet gang, but we can't just immediately jump there.
Richards/Iovianus/Reade: Response
Iko: Alright, Scotty, can you drag someone up from Ops? I don't particularly care who.
Reade: Response
Iko: Awesome. Richie, can you please look over the engineering crap that we just talked about and see if I'm actually steering us in the right direction or not?
Richards: Response
Iovianus/Reade: Response
Iko: I want to look at these signals a bit more. Shall we meet back in say, 10?
Richards/Iovianus/Reade: Response
Yes, she was taking charge, and Bec knew she was taking charge, but this was something she knew how to take charge of, and hopefully no one would mind too much.
