DC players (most likely me and Matt Morgan) plans are not yet
finalized. I'm assuming that the kind of WoN that we're used to is
not happening this year? Either way, I will probably be visiting a
friend of mine in Monroe, LA for the beginning part of the week, so
I'd imagine that I'll be there Thursday - Sunday or something like
that.

So far, no actual V:TES events have been announced during the WoN, which
figured kinda large in previous WoNs.
V:TES events (tournaments, drafts, miniqualifiers, storylines etc.)
scheduled Monday through Thursday.
WON 2007: 8-ish (9, but two were scheduled at the same time)

The hotel prices are ridiculous. I'll be staying ~4 miles away at
Motel 6. If anyone was going to arrive early, they should definitely
post in this thread and the original spirit of the Week of Nightmares
(unlimited unscheduled games) could return.
The scheduled Week of Nightmares has been possible in previous years
due to the availability of local players to judge and there aren't any
in New Orleans. (There are a few players, but none with the week
off.)

In some of the earlier years, the only "events" announced for Monday,
Tuesday, and Wednesday of the NAC weekend were, "Let's all show up
earlier in the week and play pick-up." (Milwaukee, 2002...)

New Orleans that often, and they say their prawns flambées are
wonderful).
Haven't chosen which place to stay at yet.

I would recommend the Royal Sonesta. It is on Bourbon Street and is
only 7/10 of a mile from the Roosevelt.

That is correct. It will be mainly casual games unless someone wants
to run a tournament.

I do want to make note that there is a dress code required. A casual
outfit of a buttondown, belt, slacks and dress shoes are required

I think it's likely that you can count Matt Morgan out for dinner. I
am still on the list, although, fitting a jacket into my luggage might
be a problem. We'll see how packing goes.
