GROAN had caught him with his hand in the sock-drawer previously:

He then picked off Danny's bluff, using his response/denial to point out with a high probability that Danny was lying, and actually using alternate ID's:

No response from Danny to that latter, he realized he was beat and mucked his hand... but I'm not convinced he stopped! One of the Russ impersonators had an identical style as our poker golden-boy when he chose to show us his 'bad' side - which coincidentally disappeared from RGP around the same time.
I think Danny smartened up and realized some of his posts were not conducive to the image he wanted to portray to the world. 100% good move on his part from a business perspective; Daniel had many endearing qualities that made us root for him, while cupboy was a 'cunt' that made some want to kick his teeth in! On RGP I'm certain there were a few regulars experiencing schadenfreude around that time that would have argued I have it backwards, but that's why I loved RGP! All types! ;) You've got the sweet innocent Popinjay/Dip types, and the super batshit crazy ... was going to name names here, but realize it's the rest of RGP! LOL! Danny was both!
Apologies for the language above, but that was the word Danny seemed most fond of when referring to Annie so it seeemed apropos to retain it.
Believe it or not, I am a Negreanu fan! (That wants to kick his teeth in!) LOL He's definitely good for the game, but it could have happened to a nicer person... Durr seems like a nice guy, Doug Polk, don't recall hearing about either of them initiating unwarranted attacks on female pros.
But it could have been worse, he's never goaded a female poker player into committing suicide like the doucebag on 2+2 !
Noteworthy, I remained a man of my word! I never bought another book with his name on the cover! I am re-reading small stakes hold'em however; (I never said I was going to throw away the ones I already had!) It's nice to see all the inadvertent props to Gary Carson in SSH; frequent footnotes referring to Carson's book on hold'em to validate their claims; I'm going to have to re-read that one next!
