Hi

 

Planning a two night trip around the Ventura area.  Here is the general idea:

 

Friday April 18 arrive in Ventura by train.  Ride to Ojai and camp in near by camp ground.

 

Saturday hang around Ojai area and make our way back to Ventura and stay at Emma Woods State beach.

 

Sunday take train home.

 

If interested chime in.

While I can't join you on this one, I'll toss out the idea of returning to Ventura via Santa Paula.  This route climbs out of Ojai to a wonderful overlook of the area, and drops into Santa Paula on a long, gradual downhill.  Santa Paula has 3 museums within a few minutes walk of each other (ag, art & oil).  The route from Santa Paula to Ventura goes thru citrus orchards with lots of old Victorian homes.
