Anyone use one of these? Or do you put your U-LOCK   in your bag?

Looks nice. I just tuck mine into the rear rack, where it rattles around a bit when I hit a bump...

Sackville Med fits everything... :)

It is pretty slick looking though.

Abus germany makes something similar for
cable locks. i ordered one and then realized
it was probably too small for straight cables
and meant only for coiled cable locks.
will know all when it arrives.

The "about us" section at Dill Pickle Gear is fascinating. "Us" is one person named Emily O'Brien, and her long-distance bicycle is a '74 Raleigh Professional fixed-gear. How cool is that?

Here's another product from Dill Pickle. Well, it's not actually a product yet..it was an April Fool's joke her customers actually wanted :)

I believe Emily was one of the OG participants on the Fixed Gear email list, back before fixies became a fad. Saw three in the last two days, so maybe the fixie fad is coming back? Ironically this time?

I think they've moved from fad to "basic inexpensive bike", like the Schwinn cruisers and Sting-Rays of my childhood. There's a plethora of these things at rock-bottom prices on Amazon and Ebay, plus the barely-used ones for even less on Craigslist. I'm much too old to be running around on a garishly-colored hipster-bike, but I'll probably get one anyway ;)
