Rivendell Saluki --- S&S coupled -- custom color!

This is my 58cm S&S coupled Riv Saluki. It's been painted by Rick at D&D Cycles to match the Bleriot blue. I always loved my Bleriot but hated that it lacked mid-fork eyelets so when this came up for sale I decided to make it happen.

I've only traveled with it once and the breaking-down & building-up process was a learning experience but I hope to travel with it again soon. I'm thinking Japan would be awesome with it, doing some light touring & urban riding adventures. Well, one can dream!

Anyways, still fiddling with getting it dialed in. I think my levers are set too high & my saddle needs to break in but otherwise it's all good. I'm not totally sold on the basket but with my Sackville tote bag it makes commuting so easy so it might have to stay.

The Saluki looks really beautiful. I to am not fond of the basket look but it does seem really practical. Yes the notion of traveling around Japan would be awesome, though I've been following these folks and Korea calls to me. http://www.flickr.com/photos/worldbiking/9812169743/. Anyway happy travels.
