Woohoo!  I got in a visit to the mothership last week...  Thanks to Keven for the conversation and information.  Cool to put a face with the helpfull email.  As part of the visit I got a demo ride on a 58cm TT Sam w/ the new albastache bars.  My favorite part of the store was actually the ceiling grid of bells.  Amazingly quirky and beautiful.  My attempt at a 650B frame discussion was very quickly poo-pohed unfortunately, and as there wasn't a 58/650B AHH around for a demo anyway it was a mute point. Maybe next time I'll swing into the HQ and check that out instead.  I bought one of the medium shopsacks and a t shirt, that shopsack is my new favorite bag!

Pictures prove it happened:

Nice photos!

When I visited, GP had yet to add the ceiling rope grid.  He spoke about the bells and the web-to-be.

Ok then, gotta get back over to see this in person.

Thanks for the pics! I'll need to make a trip to Walnut Creek next time I'm out that a ways. The rope grid +bells is awesome.

Tony,

Nice write up with interesting insights. I'll make it up there soon. And I really wish the best for Rob as he's a nice guy with a great product.

Thanks guys!  I was lucky to squeeze in a visit, I really want to get back there and get the chance to spend some more time and explore the HQ as well.  Oh and I'm sizing up all the rooms in my house for which one is getting the ceiling bell grid treatment... guest bathroom...? :)

That store looks really cool, nicely done. If I am ever in SF, I am certainly going to stop by and purchase a hatchet. Actually, I could probably use one.

I'm about to use my hatchet during a number of weeks of winter bikecamping/ escape from brain blowing construction across the creek from us that "may" start in February. I suspect the hatchet will come in quite handy. Grin.

With abandon,
Patrick

How does the ceiling bell rope loom/harness work? Does it sing out a special tune at 1800 hours?

It does if you are there to give it a tug at 1800!  :) On demand, manual actuated bell's only!
