First I put the fender in and made sure it would alien ok. Well slid it over tire with no hardware.
Then I snipped the plastic tops off of the black stay holders
Then I put the stays through and moved the front one to the desired level to hold the alignment from the front.
Note that if the front is rising then the back needs to go higher ... In my case anyway
Then I adjusted the back stay while making sure everything stayed straight.
Tightened it all up and bounced the bike around a bit.
Then took small pair of bolt cutters and snipped the stays to length and then slid the caps I had cut back into place.
With a smaller wheel I would suspect the need for greater distance from the tire all the way around. So if rear to front is close the tire (smaller 650b) it would make sense to me the front would have a propensity to rise away from the tire.
