Hi, I would like to see any pointer to video, blog or wiki showing a practical use of the weight calculator found in Rattle's Data tab, thanks, Carlos

Not sure such exists (video/blog/wiki). I've seen it regularly used to boost under represented classes or to give different weights to different observations depending on the value of one of the variables (in the sample audit dataset the RISK variable could be used to weight observations). The weights are passed on to a model builder if it supports a weights argument, or else multiplies out the dataset if it does not.

Regards,
Graham

Thanks Graham. After looking to your reply I went back to Rattle and foun that I overlooked the tooltip over the Weight entry field, that says "Enter a
R formula to calculate a weight for each observation...." so I will experiment with this and return, probably with more questions.
