 I'm currently waiting for my quadstick fps. I have the xbox adaptive controller do I still need CronusMax? And can I use the quadstick on the xbox one without my computer?

The Quadstick, when connected directly to the XAC, gives you one joystick axis and two buttons, according to what I've heard.  If you want all seventeen buttons and two joysticks axes, you'll want to use the co-pilot feature and operate the XAC and the Quadstick as separate controllers.  You'll need a CronusMax, Titan One or a Brook Super Converter for that.

The CronusMax is more complicated, but has more features than the BSC.
BSC is the easiest to use.

I recently received an XAC and will be doing some experiments with it.

I thought the xac would eliminate the use of CM or BSC. I can only use my mouth so I can only use the quadstick.  When I buy a CM plus or BSC can I play the xbox one on TV or just the computer

The XAC doesn't perform the same functions as a CM or BSC.

The two USB ports on the sides of the XAC are designed to work with external joysticks, like the UltraStik, or a Thrustmaster USB joystick, or something similar.  The Quadstick is one of those.  The limitation is it uses one joystick and two buttons from the joystick, regardless of how many controls the device has.

With respect to the Quadstick, the two Digital outputs on the back of the Quadstick can be connected by cables to two inputs on the XAC to add two more buttons.

To get all the buttons, axes, and triggers from a Quadstick, you will still need an adapter, like the CM, BSC, Titian One or Two, and set up co-pilot.

I've been testing with the Quadstick and an XAC and have found it accepts the first eight buttons, not just two I originally thought.  I was using the Default Configuration in USB mode 0 (PS3 compatible) and got the following results:

QuadStickPS3WindowsXAC Left USBXAC Right USB

Joy.cplJoy.cplXBoxJoy.cplXBox
Center SipButton 1Left Analog UpButton 7view (back)
LipXButton 2Left Analog DownButton 8menu (start)
Center PuffOButton 3Button 9LSButton 10RS
Right Center PuffButton 4Button 5LBButton 6RB
Left SipL1Button 5Button 1AButton 3X
Right SipR1Button 6Button 2BButton 4Y
Left PuffL2Button 7Button 7view (back)Left Analog Up
Right PuffR2Button 8Button 8menu (start)Left Analog Down
Left Sip SoftselectButton 9

Right Sip SoftstartButton 10

Left Center SipL3Button 11

Right Center SipR3Button 12

Center Sip SoftPSButton 13

Left Center Puff
Button 14

In both the left and right USB ports, six buttons and Left Analog Up & Down were available.  The left analog stick output from the QS was mapped to either the left or right stick of the XBox, depending on which side the QS was plugged into.  The value was 0-100% analog.  The buttons that mapped to Left Analog Up & Down controls were 0 or 100%, so mostly useful for games that don't need a full analog range.

Since it will be really confusing to create a configuration file with mapping left_1 to mean A or X, depending on the side the QS is plugged into, I'll probably create aliases for those outputs, like:

xac_left_A  = xac_right_X    = left_1.
xac_left_B  = xac_right_Y    = right_1.
xac_left_up = xac_right_view = square.

etc.

It is going to be confusing enough with downstream button remapping also available in both the XAC and XBox...

The four digital outputs available on the back of the Quadstick will allow controlling up to four more buttons using 3.5mm cables.  The OUT port has digital outs 1 & 2 and the IN port has digital outs 3 & 4.   (The IN port is a TTL level bidirectional port, the OUT port uses optically isolated relays, but the XAC is working with both types).

What if you want to use the XAC and Quadstick in copilot mode on the PC? Do you still need a controller converter? How would you go about setting that up?

You may be able to use QSX instead of inserting a Brook Wingman XB between the quadstick and the PC.  I don't know if anyone has tried it yet.
