Other image processor programs (like insta360 studio) allow me to drag a stack/group of bracketed photos from my image manager. (Zoner Studio)  PTGui returns this error because it does not recognize it's a stack of photos....

This necessitates EITHER unstacking & selecting/adding each bracketed photo ONE BY ONE or opening another program (windows explorer) and then finding/filtering the directory for the related/bracketed photos. (Making the process very time consuming and error prone.)

Note: Simply unstacking and trying to drag the group of photos together (multi-select) does not work/also returns an error.  Thus, each photo must be individually dragged over into PTGui.  Knowing the other programs properly handle stacks, there must be some way to better accommodate drag&drop for stacked photos?

Also, simply trying to drag&drop multiple .DNG photos (un-stacked) returns this similar error (but also works in other programs):

Oddly enough, unlike .DNG files: Dragging .JPG photos (un-stacked & multi-selected) does work. So this seems to also have something to do with the type of image files being added to PTGui.

Looks like it is Zoner Studio that is not delivering the expected / usable file formats. Some proprietary "data-zps" for a stack, and a xmp rather than the actual dng when dragged individually.

This is something that you should inquire Zoner Studio about.

If your images are bracketed correctly then PTGui will be able to recognize this and stack them automatically when dragging all images in there from windows explorer.

Also, it is recommended to process your images and export to tiff or jpg (with the software of your choice) before adding them. As it will likely be better at it than PTGui's very basic raw processing.

Hi Robert,

Please see the error message: you are not actually dragging .dng files
onto PTGui.

Actually, there is a "duplication" error with Windows Explorer as well (sending fisheye .DNG's)....
I just documented the issue along with photos here:  https://groups.google.com/g/ptgui/c/dsSDvQRlJew
