Hi all!

We’re ending the year with several announcements for December:

  • GATA2 germline mutation visualization: The GATA2 Database coordinated by Dr. Marcin Wlodarski publicly released a data rich germline mutation visualization

  • GDC sequences reads webinar: We performed a live demo of our Sequence Reads Visualization app in the GDC webinar. Please watch the webinar here.

  • Improvements to the gene expression clustering analysis UI: In the gene expression clustering analysis, users may toggle z-score transformation. Please use this example and click on the ‘Clustering’ button to try out this new feature.

  • Improvements to the Single Cell plot: We’re very proud to announce the feature enrichment of the single cell plot. The single cell plot allows users to visualize UMAP, TSNE or PCA data in a highly interactive and customizable interface. From the tabs in the upper left corner, users may select a sample, choose which plots to show, customize the clusters to color, view gene expression analysis, and explore the differential expression of genes of interest. Notable new features include:

    • Plots tab: Show select or all available plot types

    • Clusters tab: Choose which cluster to color (eg: Cell Type, CNV, Fusion) from the drop down.

    • Gene expression tab: Select a gene of interest. The plot renders the expression data with the option to display the different clusters in a violin plot.

    • Differential expression tab (if available): Compare the expression of a cluster versus all other cells. An additional feature to launch gene set enrichment analysis is also available.

Please explore all of these features and more from this example.

  • New box plot: The summary plot now includes a box plot when at least one continuous variable is available. Please try out the new box plot here.

As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or feedback through the group. Thank you for using ProteinPaint!

Take care,

ProteinPaint Team
