I'm not sure if anyone's thought of this... but I was thinking about it
the other day and have put it to the test. For those who want to limit
microsleeps or falling asleep in general while at your desk chair while
adapting, you might want to try using a large exercise ball as a chair.
I've seen people do this for egonomical purposes, plus it burns calories.

Agreed. Exercise balls are awesome. I have found that I get much less tired
in the first place when using one, as well.
Speaking of that, I should go find my exercise ball!
