Pears are dropping!  (What does that even mean?). Our ultra-early Summercrisp pear set a bumper crop and we want to share it with you!  We’ll show you how to harvest the right pears and leave the immature ones, and how to ripen them properly.  There’s apples too!  Once we’ve finished the day’s harvest, we’ll process for solar drying, butter and fruit leather.   Check out the solar fruit dryer!

Take some apples and pears home for your family!  (And you get to define “family.”  Happy Pride!).

10 am - 2 pm, Sunday, July 20.  We may end early if it’s too hot or we’re done.   Potluck lunch about noon.

At Blueberry Learning Garden, NE Portland.  RSVP for address.

Cost: free
