Brig Alasdair William Buist LOUDON OBE and his sister, Frances Mary Buist LOUDON (mentioned in a previous posting at https://groups.google.com/g/peerage-news/c/bGWMCA4lPG8/m/utykAijFAgAJ) were the only son and the younger daughter of Dr Joseph Buist LOUDON (10 XI 1921 - 5 II 1999) by his wife (marriage registered Q2 1954 - Cardiff), Joan Katherine EDE (1928 - 23 IV 2020). Dr Joseph Buist LOUDON was himself the elder son of Dr Andrew Walker Buist LOUDON (27 IX 1880 - 8 IV 1968) and his wife (marriage registered Q1 1918 - Stockport), Sarah Margaret Black ("Morag") LEES (1883 - ?). Dr Andrew Walker Buist Loudon's parents were the Rev Joseph LOUDON (6 XII 1847 - 23 XII 1920) and his wife, Margaret Mary Campbell BUIST (5 VII 1850 - 23 II 1924).

Wyndham Sweyn GOODDEN, OBE (4 XI 1907 - 14 IV 1976) was a member of that landed gentry family, of Compton House, Dorset, and his paternal grandmother was the eldest daughter of Sir Bernhard SAMUELSON, 1st Bt (22 XI 1820 - 10 V 1905). He was married, firstly, in 1939 (registered Q2 - Westminster), to Catherine Hobart AMES (15 VIII 1919 - ?), by whom he had two daughters. He was married secondly, in 1954, to Josephine Maria van Waterschoot van der Gracht (born 22 II 1931), by whom he appears to have had at least another three daughters.
