In the topic of Debrett's Corrections, pre-2018 deaths, vol. 3, at https://groups.google.com/g/peerage-news/c/rl1EicivO1E , there is a death of a Cox who was agnatically a dynast of the Hamiltons, Viscounts Boyne. This led me to look into how the Cox name got to the Hamiltons:

on the death of Sir Richard Cox, of Dunmanway, 4th Bt., the Dunmanway estate was inherited by his cousin Henry Hamilton, who took the surname "Hamilton-Cox".

There is an interesting account of the drowning death of the 4th Baronet here:

[On the death of the 12th Bt. The title was claimed by one Edmund Cox and also by one John Hamilton Cox, claiming to be descended from the youngest son of the grantee; Cokayne shows evidence why these claims are likely incorrect, and the claims were rejected by the Privy Council in 1911 and 1915]
