From the Times of 7 October 2022: D’ARCY CLARK James Drummond died peacefully on 30th September 2022, aged 101, at home of old age. Husband to Jill, father to Sue and Brian, and grandfather to John, Hughbie, Ra, Issy and Clem. Private funeral. Thanksgiving Service on 4th November, 2.30pm, at Bibury Church.

He was s of Maj John Norman D'ARCY CLARK 1874-1954 and Susan Shuttleworth 1882-1969 d of Rev James Shuttleworth HOLDEN 1843-1916 scion of that gentry family f/o Aston and Alice Louisa c1855-1923 d of Christopher COOKSON of Montagu Square, London by his 1845 m reg Q2 London to Julia Charlotte d of Charles Arthur Hill HEATON-ELLIS 1789-1865 sometime head of that gentry family f/o Wyddiall Hall and Louisa 1801-80 d of Sir Josias Henry STRACEY 4th Bt 1771-1855. He m 1950 (Marianne) Jill HARBEN c1930-2019 d of Wing-Cmdr Norman Roy HARBEN DFC RAF 1897-1947 by his 1925 m reg Q2 Cheshire to Janet MARSDEN, and had a son and a dau as above.
