Timothy James HICKS (born 8 XI 1955) is the youngest brother of Jeremy William HICKS (born 20 IX 1952), who was married in 1979 to Joanna Vivian PALAIRET (born 25 I 1955), the second daughter of Lt-Col John Hamilton PALAIRET (23 I 1917 - 27 XI 1969) and his wife (married 5 V 1951, as her first husband), Anne Marjorie BIBBY (30 X 1928 - 16 II 2020). Lt-Col Palairet was a first cousin of Anne Mary Celestine PALAIRET (14 XI 1916 -19 VIII 1998), who was married on 28 August 1947 to the 2nd Earl of Oxford and Asquith (22 IV 1916 - 16 I 2011); his wife was the youngest daughter of Sir Arthur Harold BIBBY, 1st Bt (18 II 1889 - 7 III 1986).

James D'ARCY CLARK is the younger son of Major John Norman D'ARCY CLARK (1874 - 1954) and his wife (married 22 I 1913), Susan Shuttleworth HOLDEN (22 X 1882 - 12 II 1969). of that landed gentry family, formerly of Aston, a great-granddaughter of the Rev Charles Edward HOLDEN (1750 - 19 XII 1821), who assumed the surname and arms of HOLDEN in lieu of SHUTTLEWORTH in 1791. Mr Holden, whose elder brother was the ancestor in the female line of the Barons Shuttleworth, was the younger son of James SHUTTLEWORTH (1714 - 28 VI 1773), MP for Preston from 1741 to 1754 and for Lancashire from 1761 to 1768, High Sheriff of Yorkshire 1760-61 and his wife (married 25 V 1742), Mary HOLDEN (died 12 X 1701), the only daughter of Robert HOLDEN (1676 - 7 VI 1746) and his wife (married 1716, as her second husband), Hon Elizabeth TRACY, only daughter of the 4th Viscount Tracy and his first wife, Hon Frances DEVEREUX, daughter of the 6th Viscount Hereford.
