From the Telegraph of 31 July 2023: JACOMB Thomas (Tom), died peacefully on 21 July aged 59. Beloved husband of Rebecca, adored father of Tara, Saffron, Jade and Max, grandpa of Henry and Nora, beloved son of Martin and Evelyn, adored brother of Matt and Emma. Private cremation. Thanksgiving service in due course. Donations, if desired, to Royal Trinity Hospice.

He was s of Sir Martin Wakefield JACOMB b 1929 and Evelyn Helen MBE b 1939 d of Richard Frank HEATHCOTE-AMORY 1903-57 (gs of Sir John HEATHCOAT-AMORY 1st Bt 1829-1914) and Hon Margaret Irene Gaenor SCOTT-ELLIS 1919-2002 d of 8th Baron HOWARD DE WALDEN 1880-1946. He m [1st] 1988 (div) Philippa A 1958-2022 d of Frederick Thomas WINTER CBE 1926-2004 (the racehorse trainer) and Diana Ruth 1933-2017 d of Thomas Royston PEARSON 1896-1943 by his 1928 m reg Q2 Surrey to Norah Gascoigne ROY 1903-91, and had two daus (Tara & Saffron) as above. He m 2nd Rebecca PINTO and had a son (Max Roman Pinto b 2004 reg Q4 Hammersmith) and a dau (Jade India Pinto b 2002 reg Q2 Hammersmith)

Norah Gascoigne ROY was the younger daughter of Brig-Gen John William Gascoigne ROY (25 V 1863 - 4 XII 1941) and his wife (married 3 IV 1900), Agnes Maud D'Arcy CLARK (26 III 1872 - 3 IX 1954). Agnes Clark was the daughter of George D'Arcy CLARK (1840 - 27 VII 1916) and his wife (married 12 V 1868), Anne Maria WALKDEN (1849 - III 1907); her brother was Major John Norman D'ARCY CLARK (29 III 1874 - 9 IX 1954), who was married on 22 January 1913 to Susan Shuttleworth HOLDEN (22 X 1882 - 12 II 1969). of that landed gentry family, formerly of Aston (see earlier posting at https://groups.google.com/g/peerage-news/c/6i9IjmUrV-E/m/ADPg0x-nBgAJ).

Norah Gascoigne Roy's elder sister, Doreen Annie Gascoigne ROY (8 I 1901 - 20 IV 1989) was the wife (married 15 XI 1962) of Thomas Alfred Herbert BEDDINGTON (1900 - 1 XI 1967), whose family name was previously MOSES, and who had connections with many prominent Jewish families, including the Rothschilds and the Goldschmidts.
