From the Telegraph of 7 Sep 2023: CODRINGTON Anna (née Hanscomb), died peacefully on 2nd September 2023 aged 93. Very much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Requiem Service to be held on 18th September at 12 noon at St John the Baptist and St Helen, Wroughton. 

She was d of Maj H HANSCOMB of Trieste. She m 28 May 1952 (Trieste) Cmdr Christopher Thomas CBE RN 1927-2014 s of Humphrey William CODRINGTON 1879-1942 scion of that gentry family of Wroughton House and Joyce Mary 1896-1966 d of Rev William Henry BLEADEN c1854-1909 by his 6 June 1885 m (St Mary Magdalene, Paddington) to Edith Emma 1856-1931 d of Rev William BEAL 1815-70 (ODNB entry) and Mary Ann 1818-74 d of William Henry (W H) SMITH 1792-1865 of the eponymous newsagents [his son was W H SMITH 1825-91 MP (C – 1868-91, ODNB entry) whose widow was cr Viscountess HAMBLEDEN 1828-1913 with remainder to his male issue] and Mary Ann COOPER, and had three sons and two daus:
